I created this forum to help connect beekeepers here in the central valley. Regardless of whether you're a hobbyist or a commercial beekeeper, WELCOME. Even if you don't have your own hives this is a place to learn about the practice of honey production here in the valley. Below is the link to the Central Valley Beekeepers Association: www.cvbeekeepers.org/

Great job Jose! I think this can be a real asset. Maybe you could add a "sideliner" category between hobbyist and commercial.

Congratulations! This is a very cool forum. I am looking forward to taking some beekeeping classes, do you have any planned for 2012 in the central valley?
I am looking forward to getting started and learning for people who are experienced beekeepers.
Thx KB

I think the group is going to have a meeting when they announced the class schedule for the spring (maybe in Jan). The group's website hasn't been updated in a while but it does mention the classes from this year. So I'm thinking the classes are going to happen for the coming year, since they also had a sign up sheet at the fair booth.
